Beta Club Mission Statement

 

 

 

 

The purpose of the National Beta Club shall be to promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.

Grade Level Requirement:

  • Students must be in or entering 7th or 8th grade.

 

 

 

Academic Requirement:

  • Students must achieve a 3.35GPA or higher average for four consecutive quarters prior to application to the St. Timothy Junior Beta Club. 
  • Students must maintain a 3.35 GPA in order to remain an active member.
    • Students who fail to maintain a 3.35 GPA can be considered for academic probation.

 

 

 

Service and Leadership Requirement:

  • Students should actively participate in the church or other community organizations.
  • Students should be involved with one extra-curricular activity.
  • Students must actively participate in Beta Club events, meetings and projects.

 

 

 

Character Requirement:

  • Student’s behavior should be exemplary in the classroom, at school and while representing St. Timothy School and The St. Timothy School Junior Beta Club.
    • The number of demerits acquired will be taken into consideration for inclusion in the Beta Club. 

 

 

 

Projects:

 

  • Raised money to make sandwiches for the soup kitchen.
  • Collected food and distributed holiday food for the less fortunate.
  • Took part in Pennies for Patients
